If I am not mistaken this was probably due to the fact the villain has fled - I have had most attacks on one occasion as well, but have only received a bit of experience and no reward... The items are only given away to top players when the villains are defeated. Hope this helps!

If the villan is defeated, you will get a item, but if its fleed, you can't get the reward
