Special Mission Expansion

Hello heroes,

As we already announced in the previous patch notes, our developers and game designers have been working hard on a new feature for you. Today we would like to reveal to you what exactly awaits you with the next update!

Hard, Harder, Hardmode!
The announced feature is an expansion of the special missions to include a hard mode, which is aimed at all those who want to master greater challenges and pick up cool rewards. If you have played through the normal and special modes of a special mission, in future not only the repeat mode will be unlocked, but also the hard mode.

In contrast to the repeat mode, the stats of the opponents in hard mode are set in advance and are the same for all players. This gives you the opportunity to work towards the enemies that are difficult for you to crack at the beginning. Once you have played through a hard mode level, you unlock the next more difficult hard mode level, if available. To start a hard mode special mission for the first time, you must have reached a predefined minimum level. You can start all further levels of the special mission directly.

Due to the pre-determined stats of the enemies, the first levels will probably not be a problem for particularly high-level players - but don't worry, as soon as you have played through the first levels, you too will come up against an enemy worthy of your strength!

For those of you who enjoy competing against other heroes, we have also introduced a matching leaderboard where you can compare your progress with that of other hard mode heroes. This is done by earning an emblem from each hardmode enemy you defeat, and the more emblems you collect, the higher you climb in the rankings.

Rewards
There are also some really cool rewards to be had for heroic deeds that are directly related to hard mode. For example, there is a hero set of the apocalyptic lone fighter, of which there are some parts to get in different colour variants. In addition, the companions Jim, Jay and Joey, that have a special level 20 ability, are waiting to assist you in your heroic missions.
