Hi

 

Fairly new to all this but managed to get to level 60 somehow 

 

My question is that on some items there is a modification slot, how do I use them and what with please?

You can produce modifications-parts in workshop in hideout. These mod-parts give you more skills and you can put it (one time) to an item with a modification slot.

You can see it at other players if you look at their items, the amount of extra skillpoints depend on your level, the level of your workshop and a teambonus. For example i have a mod-part 'Breathable Microfiber Insert' at my cape, it gives +442 of my 1732 stammia:
